Summary   William Frederick "Buffalo Bill" Cody stands in the left midground in front of a large group of people gathered for a group portrait while touring with Buffalo Bill's Wild West, possibly in Rome, Italy. Cody wears a wide-brimmed hat, possibly a Stetson, and a long coat and is holding a cane in his right hand. Sioux Chief Rocky Bear stands next to Cody with a blanket around his waist. Many of the other Native Americans wear blankets wrapped around their shoulders. Phoebe Anne "Annie Oakley" Moses and her husband Frank Butler stand in the right midground. A large tent is set up in the background.
