| Summary |
William Frederick "Buffalo Bill" Cody poses with
Gordon "Pawnee Bill" Lillie and "Buffalo Jones" for a full-length
studio portrait. Cody, on the left, holds a rifle propped on its end.
He wears a buckskin coat with tassles, a large square buckle on his
belt, thigh boots and a hat, probably a Stetson. Lillie, a member
of the show's cast, is seated in the center. He wears a buckskin coat
with tassles; his hat is decorated with a pattern. On the right is
Charles J. "Buffalo Jones" Jones of Garden City, Kansas, wearing sheepskin
chaps and holding a rope in his left hand. He also wears a leather
coat with tassles. A landscape scene is painted on the backdrop behind
the three men. In 1908, Cody and Lillie joined forces in "Buffalo
Bill's Wild West combined with Pawnee Bill's Great Far East." |
