Summary   Three men stand at a roulette table with a wheel and stacks of poker chips in the gaming backroom of a saloon in Leadville, Colorado. A group of men sit at a table with playing cards and poker chips. Most men wear suits and hats and a few are in soiled work clothes. A saloonkeeper in white apron and jacket carries a tray of glass stemware between the tables. Electric bulbs hang on crisscrossing wires from the ceiling to light the gaming tables. Stenciled floral borders are on the wall and the ceiling is pressed tin. Small rooms with low panel walls, an advertising poster, and the top of a watercloset tank are in the background and the top of a partition wall is in the foreground. Two windows with shades flank the door, which also has a transom window. A coat hangs on a coat rack at the far right and a framed piece on the waterclost wall reads "The Thies Ribbon Cigars".
