Summary Maria Martinez, pottery maker from the San Ildefonso Pueblo in New Mexico, kneels with another woman making pottery at the Indian village exhibit at the Panama-Pacific Exposition in San Diego in 1915. Julian Martinez stands behind the two women and two small children, possibly Maria and Julian's sons Popovi and Felip, sit on the ground near them. Additional pieces of pottery lie on the ground in front of the women.
