Broadsides, Posters, and Ephemera
Our large format camera has made it possible for us to digitize many larger items from our collection. Ephemeral, or short-lived printed materials provide informative glimpses into the past, and our collection, representing a wide variety of formats, is of perennial interest to researchers and browsers alike.

Periodical covers, political or theatrical announcements, or even legal documents can answer historical questions or serve as artwork with equal effectiveness.

Search for these items using terms such as "broadsides," "posters," "maps," "tickets," "deeds," "promissory notes," "advertisements," "ephemera," or "checks."

Western Trails, Rails and Roads
The Denver Public Library's Photodigitization Program is pleased to announce the addition of 1700 new items to the database. These items include 82 maps, 214 tearsheets and 200 items of ephemera from the Western History Collection. They were scanned in conjunction with a grant from the Colorado Digitization Project and illustrate the changes in Western transportation from the early days of exploration to the mid-20th century.
